The Social Event of the Season is Reinvented with a New Location and Updated Theme

PHILADELPHIA, September 8, 2008 - The Foundation for Breast & Prostate Health's 14th annual Give the Shirt Off Your Back! gala will take place on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the Rittenhouse Hotel (210 West Rittenhouse Square). In honor of this enchanting evening, the theme of this year's GTSOYB is a Venetian Masked Ball with guests requested to don a mask in addition to the their traditionally remarkable black tie attire. Event co-chairs Brian Kappra and Rema Giordano will host this mysterious and glamorous evening of dinner, drinks and dancing.

Give the Shirt Off Your Back! is Philadelphia's most exclusive and high-profile fundraising efforts and a highlight of the fall gala season. Evantine Design will transform the elegant Rittenhouse Hotel with dazzling décor. The night will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour and photo opportunities in the Mary Cassatt Tea Room and Garden. During the cocktail reception, guests will have the opportunity to bid on exciting luxury items and experiences on display during the silent auction portion. Dinner will be served at 9 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom followed by fabulous music by Eddie Bruce and dancing.

"This years event, a Venetian masked ball, captures the excitement of the season in a fun yet sophisticated way.

All proceeds from GTSOYB support the Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health and their fight against breast cancer. Most notably, the monies raised from GTSOYB and other events are utilized to bring together the world's most esteemed cancer physicians for a three-day conference, during which their shared knowledge and experience leads to new global guidelines in patient care.
